Having heard so, you might wonder why do you need a hypnotherapist. Let me first explain what hypnosis is. When your thoughts align with your belief system; when what you want is what you need, you begin to create.
Self hypnosis allows you to manifest effortlessly. Often your needs are simple. It’s your wants that push you, they help you stretch our boundaries. When you get uncomfortable you either give up or seek support. Depending on the support you find, either you quit or you continue.
First line of support
Usually, the support you receive is what makes you feel comfortable. You may go speak to a friend and your friend is usually in the same place as you are. Your friend can support you but will never push you beyond the limit which she or he is comfortable with. Because for a friend; the friendship is more important than your success. To get what you want you must be willing to get uncomfortable. As far as a friend is willing to get uncomfortable, you will receive support from a friend in stretching yourself and achieving your goals.
Second line of support
So you seek a support group, a group that is seeking the same goal as you are. Maybe it is a grief support group, a group of entrepreneurs seeking support in marketing or goal setting, or a group of meditators seeking company and fellowship. Whatever is the limit of the group leader, you will reach that far in such settings.
Maybe you hire a coach. A business coach or a success coach can help you succeed only as far as they have gone. They will ask you to do different tasks; will hold you accountable and you will even do it once because you have to report to your coach. The truth is you achieve your goals as long as you have a coach working with you to get your goals. This is also working with your conscious mind which is really around 10% of who you are.
Self hypnosis plus some more
Finally, you find a hypnotherapist, who works with you to help you tap into your subconscious mind which is almost 90% of who you are. As you work with a hypnotherapist, your belief system gets aligned with your conscious thinking. Your subconscious programming of likes and dislikes keep altering to integrate with your goals, so your journey becomes effortless. Usually, when you create a goal, it is either too low and within your comfort zone, or too unrealistic, something you picked up from a motivation or network marketing guru. You have to find a goal that will both stretch you but is aligned with your resources (time and money) and your value system. Unless you find this, you set yourself up for failure even before you begin.
So even before you begin, ask yourself what you want, why you want it and what will you do when you get your goal? Sit with the response of each of these questions and see how comfortable you are in your skin with these responses. Are you scared? How scared on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being I would rather die than pursue my goal and 10 being “I am my goal”. If you are within the range of 8 to 9, you can do it on your own. If you are within the range of 6 to 7, you need a success coach. If you find yourself within the range of 4 to 5, you need to hire a hypno-coach (a coach who is trained in therapeutic hypnosis). If you are within the range of 2-3, drop this goal.
Hypno-coaching helps you get comfortable with the uncomfortable and succeed. Stress-free success is possible with hypnosis. All resistance to success can be dissolved using hypnotherapy. More often than not, I find a person stuck in their career because of their lifestyle, the demands from family, or even their personal health. A relationship suffers because of a demanding career. Unless we sit and dissect the situation, there is no way of determining the cause of resistance and hence dissolving it.
